They bring out a product, but a few months later they release another one, claiming they've discovered some magic new insight about seducing women, and they harp on about how their latest product will 'up your game' to the next level.....for only 3 easy payments of $197, of course :-)
If a dating coach's methods were so good, his first product would work perfectly that time; there would be no need to keep bringing out a stream of new products. And this is the elusively obvious point that most guys miss.
You don't need to buy dozens of products or spend money on seminars, workshops, coaching or training to get good with women
The truth is, you don't actually need to buy loads of ebooks, audio or video courses, or go to weekend workshops, seminars or do any other form of coaching or training to get good with women.
All you need is the right information presented to you in an easy to follow manner, from perhaps one or two products maximum, or even for free, and then after that it's up to you to implement that information in the real world. Only then will you achieve the results with women that you're looking for.
Don't get 'shiny object syndrome'
Have you ever purchased a seduction product and then when you realised it didn't get you laid straight away, you shelved it and then bought the next seduction product that had a fancy sales pitch guaranteeing you would be able to get laid with any woman if you follow their methods? If so, you're guilty of 'shiny object syndrome'.
If you want to get good with women, endlessly buying more and more 'seduction products' won't solve your problems. Buying more products becomes a trap almost like a drug addiction in that you constantly crave the next bit of dating advice, hoping that you'll stumble upon the 'magic pill' piece of information that will make you a master with women.
Too many cooks spoil the broth
Listening to too many different 'dating gurus' is a big mistake too, since many of them contradict each other and you can easily get lost and confused about 'who's right' and 'who's wrong' rather than simply being real and authentic and trusting in yourself about what to say and do in any situation with women. You don't need to read tons of different blogs or websites about dating and relationships either. Once you 'get it', you will never need any outside advice again.
In fact, most of the products any given 'dating guru' releases could easily be condensed into one or two products maximum....but of course they wouldn't do that because they'd lose money, so instead they stretch out their teachings unnecessarily in order to justify their need to keep releasing new products.
Slick websites and marketing
Another thing I've noticed about many 'dating gurus' is that they have very slick looking websites with loads of pop-ups, sub menus, flashing imagery, sign up forms, adverts, etc. To me, whenever I see a website like that, it just screams to me 'slick marketeer' and puts me off their website straight away (not that I'd read any of their advice anyway).
You'll notice that my website is very simply laid out with no clutter. Some people might say it looks too minimal and bland, but I disagree. I keep my website like I approach women - simple and Direct. The design and layout of my website is Direct.
Reasons dating coaches keep bringing out new products
1. They want to make money out of naive guys
A lot of dating products are over-hyped and overly expensive; they don't work anything like as well as the authors claim. But a lot of guys fall for the manipulative marketing tricks these 'gurus' use.
2. They want to keep guys in a state of confusion and doubt, so they can keep guys dependent on them and their products
They keep guys confused by not releasing all their information in the first product, then claim you need to buy their next product in order to fill in the gaps they missed out in the first one. They then do this with their third and fourth products, and so on. Another way they keep guys in a state of confusion is by totally over-complicating everything, making their dating methods into a complicated science, so you believe that it takes some really huge effort to be successful with women.
By keeping guys confused, these 'gurus' make you believe that the 'magic secret' to getting good with women is just around the corner, and give you the illusion that you're just one more product away from success with women. But the reality is, when that product comes out these guys still don't get the success with women that they desire, so they seek out the next product...and so the cycle continues.
'Seduction gurus' keep guys in doubt by not allowing or encouraging guys to think for themselves. Nope, according to them, you must follow their methods exactly and you must not question anything about their methods. After all, they are the guru and you are the mere student - a totally arrogant mindset, wouldn't you agree? As soon as you start thinking for yourself and questioning their methods, they get very defensive and even aggressive, and you may find yourself mysteriously banned from their website or forums.
You want to become independent from 'gurus' and the need for seduction products, so don't fall for their bullshit.
How I'm different
I actively encourage guys be their true selves, be 100% honest with women, and to think for themselves and become self-reliant. I don't want to be your guru, I want you to become your own guru. I don't make ridiculously bold claims about the sort of success levels you'll get - I tell guys that the reality of life is that you WILL have to face rejection from women along the way to your successes.
Most of my stuff is free or inexpensive. I only have a couple of products which I charge for, which are effective and genuinely helpful to guys, and all of these are inexpensive. I don't have dozens of products, and I don't plan on releasing any more products because everything you need to know to be successful with women with the Direct approach is contained within my products already.
What I make from my ebooks goes into the running costs and promotion of this site. That's it. I'm not living the grand life out of the money I make here.
Somebody recently said that the price of my second ebook was 'quite a lot' at $17.99 (this person hadn't even purchased my ebook and was a casual reader of my site). I disagree. There are certain other 'gurus' charging $97 for an ebook about 'direct daygame'. Most 'gurus' charge hundreds of dollars for their video download courses, and even higher rates for personal consultations, workshops, seminars and in person training. There is one 'guru' selling a product about 'sexualised compliments' for $29, which is more expensive than my entire second ebook, and I explain all that and much more in my ebook.
So don't tell me my products are expensive, because when you look around at all the 'gurus' out there you'll see that my products are not expensive in the slightest. Do your research.
